Southwest Antennas has released two new antennas to our bifilar product line, covering popular operational frequency ranges in the S and C Bands.

Bifilar antennas have several benefits owing to the helical design of the antenna elements:

Ideal for Military and Federal Law Enforcement Applications

Southwest Antennas offers a variety of directional and omni antenna options in the upper L-Band, primarily used from 1,780 MHz to 1,850 MHz for DoD / military and federal law enforcement applications. While frequency band reallocation has moved some users away from this frequency, we continue to provide robust product solutions for the remaining user groups.

1,780 - 1,850 MHz (Band 181) applications include:

Southwest Antennas has just released a new antenna design that combines both the sealed spring base with a 3.5" diameter flange mount base.

These features give the antenna some great properties:

National Association of Broadcasters Annual Trade Show

Southwest Antennas will be attending NAB 2018 on Monday April 9th and Tuesday April 10th to walk the show floor, learn about new technology and trends in the broadcast video space, and meet with customers and vendors.

Southwest Antennas has just released a new small form factor omni-directional antenna for 2.1 - 2.5 GHz S-Band applications.

Part # 1001-202 is a rugged, half wave dipole antenna designed to operate across the 2.1 - 2.5 GHz frequency band and offers 2.15 dBi of peak gain. The antenna features a tough black G10 fiberglass radome and a black chrome TNC(m) non-rotating RF connector, making the antenna ideal for low-visibility or tactical applications.

Southwest Antennas is pleased to offer a new selection of omni-directional antennas to expand our offering of VHF and UHF band products. These antennas are designed for outdoor installation and feature rugged construction for long-term use, tough fiberglass radomes to withstand harsh weather conditions, and include mounting kits for installation on poles and masts.

Please join us in welcoming Chris Jones as the newest full-time employee in our engineering department.

After successfully completing his internship with Southwest Antennas and graduating from San Diego State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Chris has accepted a full-time position as RF Design Engineer.

Chris has already made a positive impact on the team, completing a number of new designs that have been successfully qualified and shipped to customers. We're happy to have him on board!

Designed for use with 2 port MIMO radio systems, this new MIMO panel antenna operates from 1.7 - 2.5 GHz and offers a minimum gain of 9 dBi across the operating band.

The Southwest Antennas team would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy and safe holiday season.

2017 has been an exciting year for Southwest Antennas, with the company hitting many important milestones. We have our customers, partners, vendors, and dedicated employees to thank for our continued success and we look forward to working with you in 2018.
