Southwest Antennas offers a number of mounting solutions for different configurations and use case scenarios. Here are a few examples of how our products can be used to rapidly mount and deploy antennas.
1. RF Coaxial Gooseneck Assemblies
Our flexible, re-positionable RF coaxial gooseneck assembly products can be used to deploy lightweight antennas such as omni-directional antennas or small sector / panel antennas. These can be mounted directly to a radio for deployment without additional mounting hardware while also eliminating the need for RF cable between the antenna and radio.
Our RF coaxial gooseneck assembly products feature low insertion loss, are sealed for operation in all weather conditions and are available in a number of lengths and RF connector configurations.
Example using two RF coaxial gooseneck assemblies to mount and hold our compact 2X2 sector antenna to a Silvus Streamcaster MIMO radio during a tactical mesh network demonstration. Also pictured are two SWA omni-directional antennas.
2. Magnetic Mount Kits
Our magnetic mount kits are ideal for use with omni-directional antennas and can be secured to vehicles, unmanned ground systems, or ferromagnetic objects such as metal desks, metal plates and beams, or other surfaces.
A Southwest Antennas magnetic mount kit is used to secure one of our high-gain omni-directional antennas to Multi-Utility Tactical Transport (MUTT) UGV during field exercises with the US Navy and Marine Corps.
Our magnetic mount kits can be customized with different RF connector choices for both the antenna mount end and cable / radio connection end. RF cable length can also be adjusted on request.
Our magnetic mount kits are designed for operating frequencies up to 8.5 GHz (part number specific), but the low insertion loss also makes them ideal for tactical military radio applications in the VHF, UHF, L and S bands including: HF Comms, Bowman, MUOS, SRW, WNW, and JTRS systems.

3. Window Suction Cup Mounts
For temporary mounting of antennas to windows on buildings or inside of vehicles such as vans or airplanes, we offer several types of suction cup mounting kits for omni-directional antennas and small panel antennas. These are ideal for temporary installations, such as short-term system testing or missions. The arms can be articulated and locked to accommodate different antennas and mounting positions.
For aircraft use, several of our suction cup mounts feature a RAM twist-lock base which has been approved for use in aircraft cabins while in flight. The twist-lock base helps ensure a secure connection to windows or other flat, non-porous surfaces and can withstand the vibrations and g-forces of flight.
