Antenna Arrays

High Performance Broadband
Microwave Antennas

Where point-to-point or point-to-multipoint applications are involved, an omni-directional high-gain antenna array system is often needed. This is particularly true in the Digital Microwave Video market where maximal ratio combining is used. Southwest Antennas manufactures a variety of optimum solutions based on customer requirements. This equipment is particularly well-suited to UAV and ENG applications, allowing video downlink tracking using a common antenna array with no moving parts.

SWA Antenna Arrays: Articulated or Composite Antenna Array with up to 16 panels and up to two up-look antennas. Individual panels are linearly polarized (usually vertical) in gains from 9 to 15 dB. Up-look antennas are either RHCP or LHCP with a smooth overhead cardioid pattern and a gain of about 2.4 dBi. Radomes are removable to allow for placement or servicing of block down converters, where used.

Range of Array Features

Frequency ranges: 1.3 to 8.5 GHz Bases: Designed to be fixed per request
